Terms of use
The terms that apply to this website. Last updated 12 August 2026.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to this website. By using it you accept them. They are about the website itself — what you can rely on here and what you cannot. Anything agreed with the salon about a specific appointment is agreed between you and us directly, and takes precedence over anything on this page.
MIMI's African Beauty operates this site from 33 Hout Street, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
Photographs of our work
Every photograph in the gallery is work done in this salon. They show what was achieved for a particular client, on that client’s own hair, on the day.
They are not a promise of an identical result. What is achievable depends on your hair — its length, texture, density and condition — and on the extensions or hair chosen. If a look matters to you, send us the photograph on WhatsApp before you book and we will tell you honestly what we can do with it.
Prices and availability
The prices on the services page are a guide to our most-asked-for styles. What you pay depends on the length you want and on the hair used, so the figure we give you in a message is the quote for the style discussed, and that is the one that holds for your booking.
Opening hours shown here are our usual hours. Public holidays and the occasional closure aside, we keep them current — but check on WhatsApp if you are making a long trip.
Enquiries and appointments
The form on the visit page sends us a message. It does not book anything: an appointment exists once we have confirmed a time with you, by WhatsApp, phone or reply. Nothing on this site takes payment, and no card or banking details are ever requested here.
If you need to move or cancel an appointment, tell us as early as you can on WhatsApp — braiding appointments are long, and an empty chair cannot be filled at short notice.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, link to, and share these pages. The photographs, wordmark and written content belong to MIMI's African Beauty, so please do not republish them as your own or present our work as yours — particularly if you also style hair.
Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the forms on it. Automated requests are rate-limited.
Links to other places
We link to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Google Maps. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for what happens once you leave this site.
Availability and accuracy
We keep this site accurate and online, but we cannot guarantee it is available without interruption or free of every error. If you spot something wrong here, we would be glad to hear about it at mimihairstyle@gmail.com.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website — for example from relying on a photograph as a guarantee, or from a page being briefly unavailable.
Nothing here limits the rights you have under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act, or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where those rights and these terms disagree, those rights win.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out separately in our privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version here is the one that applies.
